Finding Secret Fishing Spots With Google Earth! (Actual Favorite Waypoints Shown!)

There are so many Google Earth Tricks fishermen don't know how to use! With our cross country move we've been spending a ton of time on the computer preparing to explore new lakes. We've found a bunch of new spots using this method and today we're showing you how to do the same. Come along to some of our favorite fisheries and see our best spots as you learn the methods! (If you're a California angler, get ready to write down some coordinates!)

Every angler knows you can jump on google maps and get a good idea of what a lake looks like before you arrive. But few anglers know how to remove distortion from the map, jump between different water levels and times of year, drop waypoints, and export all of it to the electronics on your boat. Its amazing how far technology has come and if you're not progressing, you're falling behind.

Google Earth is just one of the tools you have available as an angler today. Modern electronics have seen huge advancements as have the mapping cards that we use with those units. Google Earth is a free program that any angler with a computer can use. We combine that program with a few different electronics to maximize our time on the water. Below you'll find links to a few of our favorite items from different brands to help maximize your time on the water.

Summer Night Fishing: Everything You Need To Know To Catch Bass At Night!

Night fishing is worth it and you should give it! The dog days of Summer can be brutal but Summer nights are magical and packed with aggressive fish! Just like fishing in the day, there are some tricks to constantly catching big bass. In today's video we cover everything from moon phase to overlooked lures that get big bites in the dark!

Traditional angling knowledge would have you out on the lake at night with a Colorado bladed spinnerbait and a 10" black power worm. While this works extremely well on a lot of fisheries, its just the tip of the iceberg on what an angler can do at night. Creature baits, reaction baits, topwater, swimbaits, even finesse baits, are all excellent choices at night. There is a time and place for everything and that's what we want you to gain from today's video.

You can't forget the basics because they continue to work, but if you want to branch out and be successful there are some great options that you've been overlooking. Below is a breakdown of the baits and equipment discussed in the video. The links go direct to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos, descriptions, and available colors for each item. We've also included some rod recommendations as well for some of our favorite night fishing combos when sensitivity is key.

7 Finesse Baits To Catch Stubborn Winter Bass

The Fall to Winter transition brings cold water and lethargic fish but savvy bass fishermen have no trouble getting bit under these conditions. Some of the biggest bass of the year can be caught in the Winter months along with surprising numbers of quality fish. During the cold water period Tim often turns to finesse fishing to find the consistent bite. He has a handful of proven techniques and he's sharing them with us today.

Winter fishing doesn't have to mean mundane fishing. There are a ton of techniques from jigs to swimbaits, flies to worms, that will consistently produce in cool to cold water. You're not limited to one or two methods, though light tackle is a common thread amongst most of them. Today Tim gathered the gear for 7 of his favorite Winter techniques and he's explaining them for us.

Below you'll find a breakdown of the baits and equipment Tim trusts to get through the Winter months. From late Fall all the way to the start of Spring, you can rely on each of these finesse techniques to produce. Try a few and find the method that produces best on your home lakes.

How To Catch GIANT Bass **Day on the Water**

Watch and learn as Tim breaks off a MONSTER bass then turns around and catches her again! Spring is prime time to catch these huge fish and Tim shows exactly how it can be done. He uses a combination of swimbaits and sight fishing to coax a bunch of really nice fish into biting including the 8+ lber. Its hard to keep your focus when a big one comes off but Tim shows first hand that keeping your cool can pay big dividends!

Tim is on Clearlake for a day of big bass fishing. He's invited us along to take part as he searches high and low for the right fish. Pay close attention as he chooses different baits to catch the fish and also to the colors he decides to use.
