Spring Fishing Tips For Bass! ( Dropshot, Chatterbait, Glide Bait )

Spring bass fishing is awesome... if you're willing to adapt! One minute you've got a dropshot in your hand, the next minute you're slinging a glide bait. As conditions change, you have to adapt with them if you want to consistently catch fish. Come along for a fun day with Tim and the boys. The guys started out with a plan to power fish but quickly realized they had to adapt. The dropshot and shaky head saved the day until the conditions began shifting. Once the light got a little lower, the power fishing techniques came back into play, with multiple fish on chatterbaits and glide baits. Keep an open mind, be willing to adapt, and you'll take your Spring bass fishing to new heights!

Chartreuse and Blue are two of the most underrated colors in fishing. They may not work every day on every lake, but they tend to get larger than average bites. If you've been overlooking these bold colors, you may want to second guess that decision. The best bass fishing of the year is happening now! Don't miss it! There is no better time to get on the water and catch a bunch of fish than April. You can typically find fish in all 3 stages of the spawn and it's not hard to catch them. If you've ever wanted to learn a new technique, or target a big bass, this is the time!

Bass can be caught on a mix of fast moving reaction baits and slow, bottom contact presentations. When it comes to reaction baits, we put a lot of emphasis on standing out from the crowd. We're using baits with flash, vibration, and sound to get the bass' attention. When it comes to soft baits, its all about a natural presentation. We find that baits with a some blue in them will often catch more fish than other colors.

Before the spawn, bass are focused on feeding. As they transition from Winter haunts to Spring spawning grounds, there are key stops they make along the way. These stops are slightly different on reservoirs, lakes, and ponds. In today's video, Tim breaks different types of fisheries into 4 groups and explains how bass move in each scenario. Once you've identified which group your local lake, pond, or river fits into, you're ready to fish!
