Long after bass stop eating other presentations (or move too deep for them to be effective) Metal baits keep getting bit.

The blade bait is by far the most popular lure in this category. Northern anglers in particular are very familiar with its effectiveness. How To Catch Bass During The Fall To Winter Transition (Cold Water Bass Fishing)

If you're throwing the same old baits, you're going to struggle during this transition!! Catching fish can be tricky this time of year! Some anglers are catching big fish every trip out while others are catching nothing at all. The difference is a combination of the baits they're using and their ability to trigger a feed response.

Its time to get out of your comfort zone! Focus your attention on aggressive baits like speed cranking, jerkbaits, A-rigs, and blade baits to get consistent bites. If you insist on slow fishing, focus on key baits like jigs and ned rigs to keep getting bit. This time of year can be amazing, you just have to branch out to find those key bites.
