Amazing Underwater Footage of 8 Big Swimbaits!

Come underwater and see why bass eat swimbaits! Are you fishing with the right swimbait this Spring? All 8 baits have completely different kicks and profiles. Some baits focus on realism, others focus on secondary action. Which baits are which and when should you use them? Today's underwater footage will give you the confidence you need to throw swimbaits for bass in the prespawn.

Today's underwater footage is broken into two segments. The first is what we call "wedge tail" baits. These baits are characterized by a slow, methodical kick with tight action and realistic paint jobs. The focus is on realism and relies heavily on a bass' desire to feed. The second is focused on "boot tails". These baits tend to have wider kicks, body roll, and vibration. Boot tailed baits are focused on triggering a reaction strike rather than eliciting a desire to feed. Both methods are incredibly effective at different times and should be represented in a serious swimbait angler's arsenal.

In today's video we chose these 8 baits because of their unique actions and appearances. Each of these baits are proven fish catchers and should be considered when deciding on the right option for your fishery. Below you'll find a breakdown of all 8 baits including the gear we use to rig them, the rods and reels we use, as well as color recommendations for each.

Bass Attacking Big Swimbaits!! Epic Underwater Footage!!

Watch underwater as big bass ambush swimbaits and glide baits! Its amazing how aggressive these fish get when a big meal swims by. With Spring fast approaching Matt shares a few tricks about how big bass behave that will help you catch the fish of a lifetime during the prespawn. If you haven't added a swimbait to your arsenal, you're about to get an underwater view of what you've been missing!

New swimbait fishermen are full of misconceptions. The most dangerous to your success is an assumption that big bass will hit a swimbait really hard. While this MIGHT happen, it is far more likely that the bite will be a subtle but clear "tick". If you're waiting for a bone-jarring strike you will miss the biggest bites of your life. Pay close attention to this underwater footage and you'll notice that the biggest fish seem to calculate their strikes while smaller fish lash out aggressively.

Its also important to note that bass are far more likely to completely engulf soft baits while hardballs almost always end up on the outside of the fish's mouth. With this in mind, its extremely important to control hard bait fish as their aggressive head shakes are very likely to rip the hooks out during the fight. You have time to make a few more changes to your gear as well as to your mindset before Spring arrives. Take the steps to prepare and this will be the year you catch a giant bass!

Below is a breakdown of the baits in the video as well as some of our most consistent swimbaits for big, prespawn fish. We also included links to our favorite swimbait equipment along with some "budget" options.

How To Catch Bass With Plastic Worms **Incredible Underwater Footage**

Fishing with worms is easy! Use the tricks we show in this video and you're sure to catch more fish this year! Come underwater and watch how the bass react to different worms. Whether you prefer a weightless senko, a dropshot, or any other rigging, its easy to see the best ways to work them with an underwater view!

For today's video we kept the rigging simple. We showed a weightless worm, a dropshot, a ned rig, and a shaky head. All of these are great techniques for catching bass so we've included links below to the exact hooks, weights, and worms we recommend for each method. We also included links to an "In Depth" video for each technique.

Every time we watch bass behavior underwater we learn something new. In this video is was painfully obvious the bass would approach while the lure was moving but it had to be paused for the fish to actually strike. Consider how often you've failed to pause your worm near key structure while out fishing and we begin to realize how many fish we could have been catching all along. Take this information and apply to your fishing in 2020 and the sky is the limit!
