How Jigs and Trailers Actually Move - UNDERWATER FOOTAGE!!

We have 8 of the most popular jig trailers and we're comparing the actions underwater. If you've ever wondered how they actually move when they're underwater or why one trailer seems to work better than another, this video is for you! There is so much information for bass anglers to glean when we head underwater and simply watch how our lures respond to how we fish them. We've included "dead action" trailers, aggressively kicking baits, and curly tail grubs so we get a complete comparison.

Of course we can't include every trailer on the market but we've done our best to select the most popular offerings that represent the various styles of jig trailer most commonly used. Whether you're a finesse jig guy or you prefer a heavy flipping jig, we've got trailers that fit your style. Every time we do an underwater video we're amazed by the outcome.

When viewed below the surface a bait like a Sweet Beaver that appeared to have no action at all, proves to have an incredible craw profile with a unique left to right drift as it falls. A grub like the Yamamoto Double Tail proves that it has an undulating action at virtually any speed, and the Paca Craw (one of the original "action" chunks but overlooked by most anglers today) gets 10 stars for amazing action when swam along the bottom!

What the baits for yourself and judge the bait trailers for your fishing style. Some anglers prefer a muted action, others want an aggressive kick at all speeds. Regardless of your fishing style, there is a trailer here for you. Below is a breakdown of the trailers (in order of appearance), the jigs, as well as some jig rod recommendations for Summer fishing.

Underwater Footage!! Best Creature Baits Compared!

We're headed back underwater with 7 of the most popular creature baits in bass fishing! If you've ever wondered how your lure really looks under water, this series is for you! Not all creatures are created equal, see the differences for yourself. We've rigged all the baits on a texas-rigged 1/4 oz tungsten weight with a 4/0 Offset worm hook to get a true comparison. Let's head underwater!

Texas-rigged creature baits are one of the most consistent lures in bass fishing. Every angler knows that when the bass get around cover, they can't resist a creature bait! Whether you prefer a shorter, more compact profile or a longer, slender profile, we're testing a variety of baits that will apply to you. As you watch these baits in the water focus on the details of how each bait swims and moves at various speeds so you can select the bait that will best meet your needs.

In general, we lean towards natural colors first and dark colors second. Some of our favorites are simple colors like Green Pumpkin Black Flake, Black and Blue, Junebug, and Watermelon Red. Don't get caught up with all of the colors, instead focus on choosing a natural color and a dark color that you have confidence in, and stick to one or two creatures that you feel have the best action. Below is a breakdown of the different baits we've included in the video in order of appearance.

Plastic Worms Underwater - Which Ones Look The Best? Underwater Footage!

We're headed back underwater to look at the most popular worms on the market! We've paired 8 worms up with a shakey head and a medium action rod to see which baits perform the best underwater. If you've wondered which worm you should try or why one works better than another, this video will answer a lot of your questions!

The combination of a shaky head and a plastic worm is deadly through the Summer months. The technique is incredibly versatile with retrieves varying from a slow drag to an aggressive snapping motion. The key to shaky head fishing is finding a worm that the bass are responding to. This video will help you understand the subtle differences in action so the next time you need to fine tune a bite or save a bite that's gone cold, you'll know which worm to turn to.

We love capturing underwater footage despite the inherent difficulties. We hope you enjoyed the footage as much as we did! Below is a breakdown of the tackle and equipment used in the video.
