The Biggest Fish I've Ever Hooked From Shore!

Its a GIANT! Cast To Catch of a monster Striped Bass that ate the swimbait while we were standing on shore. The situation goes from bad to worse when the big bass decides to head up stream and we can't follow her!

We get requests for banking fishing videos all the time. We love shore fishing because it offers some distinct advantages. The ability to creep up on wary fish without being detected is key to consistently getting big bites. However, this fish was in a different class and we were very lucky we didn't have to follow her with the boat.

This fish fell for a glide bait. Below Is a breakdown of the gear Matt and Shawn were using.

Matt Broke His PB with a MONSTER!

GIANT BASS on BIG SWIMBAITS! Does it get any better??? Come along for a first person look as Matt and Shawn chase down GIANT Striped bass with glide baits!

Breaking a personal best is a rare opportunity, to do it back-to-back, incredible! Its hard to convey just how hard these fish hit, how much power they have, and how tenacious they are with their fight. If you've never had the opportunity to fish for giant striper you need to try it!

Thank you for coming along for this special moment! The two striper weighed 31.6 lbs and 38.0 lbs respectively and both fell for the same glide bait. The key to success with fish of this caliber is having quality equipment. If you come after them with standard bass tackle, sub-par knots, and stock hooks you're going to lose every time. If you take the time to upgrade hardware, tie clean connection knots, and replace worn line, you stand a great chance of being successful when the fish of a lifetime hits!

Summer Swimbait Fishing - Everything You Need To Know!

Tactical Bassin’ is known all over the world as some of the top swimbait fisherman. Now they are sharing all their knowledge with you. Learn which swimbaits will get bit this summer and up your swimbait game no matter the season with this in depth guide to all things swimbaits.

Jerkbaits Vs. Swimbaits : Which One Wins?

Matt hits the water with a jerkbait and a small swimbait for a quick evening session. The plan was to return to a school of active bass blowing up on baitfish but that quickly changed. Watch as Matt adapts to the changing conditions and puts together a pattern that produces BIG bites.

Learning to read the water and adapt to changing conditions takes time. Having a solid knowledge of the fishery is a huge bonus but a willingness to change on the fly and try new baits is all that's really required.

The jerkbait and swimbait are both proven producers throughout the Spring. When one is producing small bites the other will often produce larger fish. Don't be afraid to abandon your game plan when its not working and trying something completely different. You never know when you'll switch from catching little fish (or no fish) to having an awesome time on the water!
