How To Set Your Drag For Swimbaits, Crankbaits, and Jerkbaits

Here's how to adjust your drag for a variety of baits so nothing goes wrong when that BIG BASS finally bites! Each bait requires a little different drag setting but we make it simple so anyone can adjust their gear quickly and accurately.

Adjusting your drag is the last thing on most angler's minds. Your drag was either set months ago and you just haven't changed it, or maybe you backed it off last trip and forgot to tighten it back up. Either way, you could be headed for heartache! These quick tips are going to change the way you look at the drag on your reel. Its no longer a mundane part of your fishing day, its a key component to successfully landing every fish that bites!

Fishing With A Piece Of Bass Fishing History !!!

Matt gambled everything for the chance to fish with a real piece of bass fishing history and it was amazing!!! Check this out! What an honor!!

Do you enjoy flipping, pitching, or fishing heavy cover for bass? Have you ever wondered why until recently all major tournaments had an 8 foot rod rule? Have you ever heard the name, Dee Thomas? If you haven't, you're missing a huge piece of bass fishing history!!

Dee Thomas is the godfather of Flipping. He developed a method called "Tullie Dipping" and later, the first flippin' sticks. He was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall Of Fame in 2000 and later the  Bass Fishing Hall Of Fame for his contributions to the sport. Its such an honor to catch a fish with a real piece of bass fishing history that was once used by Dee Thomas!

While dipping sticks are generally a thing of the past, flipping is alive and well! We've recently done several videos, here is a link to our video "Flipping and Pitching Heavy Cover: Everything You Need To Know" -  https://youtu.be/gU1uGAVyfAI

Humminbird Solix 15 Review | The Bass Can't Hide Anymore!

We've used depth finders, fish finders, electronics... whatever you want to call them... for years and we've never seen anything like the Solix 15! The clarity, detail, and power of this unit is unrivaled by any other unit we've experienced!

We'll dedicate an entire series to operating, fine-tuning, and interpretting electronics in the near future. Instead, with this video we wanted to give you an overall impression of the unit and a brief explanation of how we formed our opinion.

Matt explained in the video that he was blown away by the ease of importing waypoints despite transferring between brands. Additionally, the mapping and MEGA Imaging have taken this unit to a whole new level! Do yourself a favor if you're in the market for new electronics and consider the Solix.

Here are a few other Humminbird Electronics worth checking out at different price points. When selecting an exact model consider the following factors...
1) Do you need side imaging?
2) Do you need down imaging?
3) Do you Need GPS?
4) Is this unit going to be used for knowing depth more than finding fish?

With this information you can easily choose the right unit at a price point that makes sense.

Helix 7: http://bit.ly/2vM2rhk
Helix 5: http://bit.ly/2fsOu1I

Other gear you may need to take full advantage of your new unit...
Lakemaster AutoChart: http://bit.ly/2unEs8y
Ethernet Switch (For Linking Units): http://bit.ly/2vkNUqI
Ethernet Cables (one per unit): http://bit.ly/2uolZF1

Mounting these large units can be a bit tricky. These are the two mounting styles we used on our boats:

BalzOut Electronics Mount: http://bit.ly/2unPdDS
